Community Update: Over 400 Voices Strong, Listening, Tweaking, and Moving Forward Together
REESE, Mich. - Reese Public Schools is excited to share that more than 400 community members participated in our recent survey about the future of our district, including ideas for a new elementary school, an early childhood center, and property use for housing.
The feedback was outstanding. You shared creative ideas, raised thoughtful questions, and provided valuable perspectives that will help make our plan even stronger.
Because of the depth of input we received, we want to take the time necessary to work through many of the additional ideas that came forward and tweak the plan to better align with the priorities of our community.
As a result, we will be delaying when we place a proposal on the ballot. This decision reflects our commitment to transparency, thoughtful planning, and doing what is right, not what is rushed.
Over the coming months, we will continue engaging with the community through:
Community town halls to discuss updates and gather feedback
Short videos and posts that explain the need and why behind this project
Additional opportunities for parents, staff, and residents to shape the plan
We are incredibly grateful for the honesty, engagement, and care our community has shown throughout this process.
This is not a pause. It is progress.
We are listening, tweaking, and moving forward together.
Go Rockets!
